Overview

Doctor Who is a television show that follows the main character, The Doctor, a Time Lord and his many companions. The original Doctor Who started in 1963 and lasted until 1989, categorizing groups of episodes by seasons, with 26 seasons. After the original Doctor Who ended, the 1996 Doctor Who tv-movie came out. Then no sign of new Doctor Who on TV was seen until 2005 when the show relaunched. The relaunch is still airing in present time, categorizing groups of episodes by series, with 8 series. There have been a total of 14 actors playing The Doctor, including John Hurt as the War Doctor. This is possible by regeneration, which was a concept because the original actor, William Hartnell needed to leave the show. This also make the show have the possibility to go on indefinitely. As of Christmas 2017, the lastest Doctor is the 13th Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker, with friends.
